Session Overview

This course is designed to improve your understanding of:

  • Methods of determining and evaluating project requirements to ensure selection of the proper glass type for a given project
  • Introduction of emerging glass solutions for Sustainable Design - Dynamic Glass, "Anti-Brid-Strike" glass, etc
  • Fabricated glass solutions for building code compliance, including safety and fire-rated glass
  • Glass selection based on Natural vs. Artificial lighting issues, importance of either High VLT and / or Low Solar Heat Gain

Speaker Biography

Randy Van Norman
, originating from Manitoba, was transferred to Regina where he spent 12 years.  Randy graduated with various business courses from the University of Regina before returning to Manitoba.  He has been in the glass fabrication and distribution industry for over 30 years in various capacities including sales, scheduling, production planning and purchasing.  Randy is excited to work with the challenges ahead in the changes and evolution of glass and its industry.
