Session Overview

If you are planning an envelope replacement project, it is likely that you will encounter some measure of hidden mould growth.  Early and effective planning can help reduce your firms exposure, and will assist in bringing the project in on-time and on-budget.


This session will include a review of key regulatory requirements and an overview of the many pitfalls, challenges and suggested action points to ensure a successful project.


Speaker Biography


Mr. Jay Snedden, Technical Manager with Pinchin Environmental has over thirty years experience in the field of hazardous materials assessment, control and management and has provided consulting on numerous large scale mould projects. 

Employed for several years with two of Canada's larger hazardous materials abatement contractors, Mr. Snedden brings a unique perspective to his work, one that has distinguished himself as a provider of a sound yet practical approach to the many challenges that face the ever evolving mould industry. 

Mr. Snedden has extensive experience in the field of site inspection, sample collection and analysis, interpretation of laboratory data, project design, and management.  His project experience extends to the co-ordination and management of work in high rise commercial buildings to isolated communities such as Canada's High Arctic and numerous First Nation communities. 

Mr. Snedden has presented numerous training sessions on mould management to contractors, building owners, insurance professionals. lawyers, and others.  Over more recent years, he has assisted in the development of comprehensive management plans for building owners to assist in the proactive management of mould in buildings.
