Wins Bridgman, MAA, RAIC, LEED AP - BridgmanCollaborative Architecture
Principal Architect Wins Bridgman is a Heritage specialist with over thirty years' of applied experienced in a range building types. As a founding member and Director of BridgmanCollaborative Architecture, Wins has prioritized Barrier-Free design and sustainability as integral components of the practice. The firm is informed by a social justice framework and work with community and non-profit groups is a core business practice. Wins is increasingly interested in innovations in building robustness, energy efficiency to ensure low operating and maintenance costs for building owners that support organizational sustainability. BridgmanCollaborative Architecture has received 11 Preservation/Heritage awards, 8 awards for accessibility, Prairie Design Award, and the Baines award. Wins has additionally received the Leadership Award for the Advancement of Accessible Environmental Design.
Ian Sunabacka joined BridgmanCollaborative in 2013. Prior to completing a degree in Architecture Ian studied physics and holds a degree in philosophy. Ian developed a particular interest in enclosure performance and durability during his time at the Public School Finance board where he contributed to forensic investigations on failed envelopes and detailing. Through ongoing in construction methods, building health and durability he developed an interest in high performance building enclosures. He is the lead project designer on Aspen Roots Passive Home (under construction targeted to receive Manitoba’s first Passive House Certification). He is the office lead on alternative wall assemblies, envelop detailing, energy modeling and material sustainability.
